Warren County Board of Supervisors

There's been lots of attention given the mayor and aldermen, and the mayoral race. What about the county supervisors? What kind of job are they doing?

Washington street bridge, no new jail, tax increase right after the election, outrageous property tax increase right after the election, TDock at the harbor, Ceres Plantation, inability to collect Railroad bridge fees, inventory tax driving industry out of the county, bayous and waterways never cleaned, blanket pay increases with no accountability, underfunding the Sheriffs department, roads in decay, worst possible insurance rating for fire insurance, no code enforcement.

Yeah, they suck.

You would think it would be that easy. For some reason they keep getting put back in.

Richard George got the job with 42% of the vote. A serious Republican challenger could replace him.

David McDonald won by 4 votes over an unknown in the primary. He is an easy target.

Bill Lauderdale won by 34 votes over the candidate pushed out by the Vicksburg Post.

Mr. Banks and Mr. Selmon have no voice with the other 3 in place. It would be great to finally throw the county over to the city side. We have the money, the population and the desire, why the hell don't we have the county?

All of the above issues and apparently the major, numero uno, most important concern of the county board is who in the county is having paying for trash pick up. Disgusting!
